It’s been five years in the making, but finally Grand Rapids High School has a date set to dedicate their practice field to former football coach Tom Drazenovich.
The ceremony for the man lovingly known as ‘Tommy D’ is set for Friday, May 13th at 4pm.
A brand new sign bearing his name will be erected at the field. The funds of which for the piece were raised through community donations.
Mr. D coached the Thunderhawks for over 30 years, inspiring many young athletes especially his grandson, former Rapids quarterback Andy Thomsen.
After 5 years we have a date! Please join us for the dedication of Tommy D Field! May 13 at 4 pm.
