Douglas Co. employee identified who died on the job

The identity of the Douglas County employee who died on the job has been released.

County officials say 47-year-old Robert Brown passed away on Sunday morning, as a result of injuries suffered while performing duties related to his job. Brown was a County Building and Maintenance Worker.

Building staff performed life-saving measures, including CPR until emergency responders arrived.

No other details of the nature of the accident were released. It remains under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
