The Northland has hundreds of miles of trails and summer can be the perfect time to explore them.
That’s why the Duluth Running Company is bringing back their Trail Troupe running group.
It’s a casual way to trek across all terrains, including hiking, mountain biking, or ski trails.
"We wanted to put together something that was non-competitive, friendly for newer runners, but still potentially fun and challenging for people that have been trail running before," said executive events director Alisha Bradley.
She added that the Duluth Running Co. is trying to, "get people out and experiencing the awesome trails we have in the area."
The first session takes off Wednesday, July7th and will be a four mile hike around Duluth’s Hartley Nature Center.
Each Trail Troupe outing will include coaching and advice for new runners.
Group events are scheduled every Wednesday evening through August 25th beginning around 5:30pm. They will include trips of various lengths around sites like Spirit Mountain, Ely’s Peak, and Lester Park.
Registration is $40 dollars and is available in-store or online.
