Duluth’s Lakewalk project complete

Duluth’s Lakwalk is back open to the public, and the reconstruction project is officially complete.

The City of Duluth says contractors have finished the project’s fifth phase, just one day after starting it. They’re thanking the public for their cooperation, patience, and understanding while the project has been ongoing.

The Lakewalk runs along the shoreline from Canal Park to Brighton Beach, but that end portion is still closed while the entire park area at Brighton Beach is being redone.

Brighton will remain closed through spring of 2022, and will reopen in the spring of 2023 at the earliest.
