After announcing last week Tuesday he was entering the NCAA transfer portal, now former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s hockey defenseman Connor Kelley has found a new home.
The Maple Grove native shared on Twitter Monday that he’s taking his talents to Providence College.
He played in 39 games this past season for the Bulldogs, putting up two goals with nine assists. The Chicago Blackhawks NHL draft pick helped UMD to a NCAA Regional final finish and 22-16-4 overall record.
Before the Bulldogs he spent two years skating with the United States National Team Development Program.
Thankful for my time as a Bulldog. Excited for my next chapter in Providence #GoFriars pic.twitter.com/S9hxFeizVt
