Groundbreaking on new Superior apartments

Tuesday, P&R Properties broke ground on the construction of a new housing development.

The apartment complex will be located at 2600 Barden Avenue in Superior. This will be their fifth project in the city, all within the last six years. Representatives from the City of Superior, Superior Chamber of Commerce and P&R Companies were all in attendance for the groundbreaking.

"We continue to provide homes and jobs in the areas in which we live, those aspects of what we do and what we are able to provide have a lasting impact on our community," said Ryan Nelson, owner of P&R Companies.

Megan Holsclaw, the Operations Manager for P&R Properties said that there’s a definite need for housing in Superior. They found that all of their buildings would be one hundred percent occupied right when they’re through construction. Not only do they start off fully occupied but they also maintain occupancy.

Holsclaw went on to say that the company had been looking at the location for a long time because it is close to the schools, and churches and that tenants will have easy access to Highway 2.

The complex will feature 120-units with studio, alcove, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom floor plans. Most of the apartment layouts will have private open-air decks and spacious layouts. The building will also feature a central amenity area for residents. The complex is slated for completion in Spring 2023
