Interviews begin to fill vacant Duluth City Council seat

The Duluth City Council began interviewing applicants to fill the vacant seat left by the late Renee Van Nett on Thursday night.

The council interviewed three candidates in the first round; Ashlie Castaldo, Hannah Alstead, and Hannah Smith.

All three applicants will move on to the second round of interviews Monday.

After that, councilors will select a final candidate.
