Limit for lake trout reached in Apostle Islands

Anglers in the Apostle Islands region of Lake Superior will soon no longer able to fish for trout this season.

The Wisconsin DNR said the lake trout recreational harvest trigger in that region has been reached.

As a result, lake trout season for sport and charter anglers will close Sunday at 11:59 pm.
