Man accused of driving through tent in Thunder Bay parking lot
A northwestern Ontario man faces a charge after allegedly driving a pickup truck through a tent in a parking lot.
The Thunder Bay Police Service says the incident happened at the County Fair Plaza parking lot just after 3:50 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the tent was set up at the former Sunny’s gas bar.
Police say an initial report indicated that someone may have been sleeping inside the tent at the time of the collission, but further investigationr evealed the tent was empty and no one was injured.
A 37-year-old man from Fowler Township, north of Thunder Bay, was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. Police say he was released with a future court date set.
