Sunday was the kickoff to the Twin Ports’ Homegrown Music Festival at Hoops Brewing Company.
Duluth Mayor Emily Larson was in attendance and delivered a proclamation to start the week long festival.
She reminded people to stay safe, stay at home if your feel ill, and have fun. The Homegrown Music Festival has been hiatus for nearly two years and Larson mentioned that something felt different about this year and it was all because everyone was excited to be back.
She finished her proclamation saying, "Therefore I Emily Larson, mayor of the city of Duluth do officially proclaim this moment is the official start of the 2022 homegrown music festival in the city of Duluth."
In total 196 performers will be preforming for 8 days in total across the entire Twin Ports. You can find their schedule here.
