Mesabi East swims to victory in Iron Range Conference championship

On Tuesday the Mesabi East girl’s swim team took home first place in the Iron Range Conference championship at Two Harbors. The top individuals in each event earn All-Conference honors.
International Fall’s Havyn Pellan beat out Mesabi East’s Emma Williams for the 100 yard butterfly crown with a time of 1:06.27. Williams posted a time of 1:06.76.
In the 100 yard freestyle the Giant’s Adriana Sheets took first with a time of 56.66. Then in the 500 yard free Dani Logan took first for Rock Ridge swimming to a time of 6:01.02.
Overall Mesabi East won as a team with 562. They were followed by Rock Ridge (536), Two Harbors (337), International Falls (327), Northeast Range Ely (260, and Chisholm (207).
This marked Two Harbors first time being a part of a conference in 16 years.
