November marks Military Appreciation Month in the National American Hockey League (NAHL).
Cloquet’s Minnesota Wilderness are one of 29 clubs fundraising for the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. They provide scholarships and educational counseling to kids who lost a parent in the line of duty. Duluth veteran Matt Caple weights in on the foundation’s importance.
"Basically over the last 35 years theres been about 20 thousand children that have been displaced due to an active duty parent in the military losing their life or even after their service to their country. Even like the non-profit that I’m involved with with, Lake Superior Warriors, I like to think of it as we’re just one cog in the wheel."
The campaign runs through this Tuesday. To donate CLICK HERE.
