The Annual Bluebird Foundation Christmas by the Lake Music and Fundraising event was held Wednesday evening.
The annual event debuted the new 2021 Christmas by the Lake album. The sales of the album, as well as proceeds from a silent auction and donations, go to found grants and scholarships for high school-age kids in the performing arts.
At the event, $5,000 in grants and scholarships were given out.
“It’s great for us to be able to help kids out and to be advocates for the performing arts,” said Bluebird Foundation president Tracy Lundeen. “So many people cite their reasons for the love of the arts. Even if you’re a non-artist, you love to go to theater productions or concerts and [experience] what they do to help get you through regular life and we want to be advocates for these kids, more than anything, so we can keep another generation thriving in the performing arts.”
Lundeen went on to say that the Bluebird Foundation, with Wednesday’s event, is now near the $50,000 milestone in grants and scholarships.
