Near Critical Fire Weather conditions for your Monday
Portions of Northern Minnesota are once again under Near Critical Fire Weather conditions on Monday. Dry conditions and breezy West winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts of 20 to 25 mph are forecast for Monday afternoon.
Warm temperatures in the 80’s and low relative humidity values of 30 to 35 percent are also expected. These conditions could lead to the rapid spread of fires.
Locations within the Near Critical Fire Special Weather Statement include; St. Louis, Cook, Lake, Carlton, Pine, Crow Wing, Aitkin, and South Cass counties in Minnesota.
The WDIO Storm Track Meteorologists continue to track the fire forecast and will update any additional information as it becomes available.
