Music is pouring out of Bayfront Festival Park once again.
From now until September people will see a number of different performances every weekend on their lakeside stage.
Bayfront Festival Park Coordinator, Jeff Stark, says the engagement in the first few events has been encouraging.
"We are very excited about the amount of people who have been showing up for these first few events. If that’s any indicator for what we’ve got for the rest of the summer, I think the rest of Duluth’s travel industry and attractions will be very excited as well."
Last year’s empty scene and this years packed crowds could not be more different- another testament to the area’s support of this summer’s music revival.
And the Lake Superior view from the festival grounds doesn’t hurt either.
"I think they have that saying in real estate ‘location, location, location’ and that is definitely true of Bayfront Festival Park," says Stark."You cannot get a better venue than this. It’s right on the shores of Lake Superior, the harbor is in the background and sometime those thousand foot ore boats are slipping past the stage. For performers, and for the folks who are coming down to enjoy it as well, it’s just a unique location that you cannot duplicate anywhere else in the world."
From 80’s hits at Hairball to blues at the Blues Fest, Bayfront’s lineup has a little something for everyone.
