Oktoberfestival is back at Bayfront Festival Park

September 17th marks the annual Duluth Oktoberfestival Procession! Starting at Saturdays event acts as a mini parade starting in Canal Park Lodge and ended at Bayfront Festival Park.
Also at the procession includes authentic live music, a Golden Keg-Tapping Ceremony, the official Festmaster and Frau reveal, and the March of the Dachshund Pups.
Volunteer Jamie Bennett says volunteering has been, "super great! everyone has been super enthusiastic and having a great time. And the music is amazing!"
Some fest-goers even got VIP bages to get into even more Oktoberfest fun! Chris Stienhaus says, "you get beer and a burger and get to sit in the VIP spot how about that!"
The weekend celebration spans from Saturday 11:00am to 11:00pm and Sunday 11:00am to 4:00pm with live music, authentic German food and tons of activities. Sunday the Dachshund’s get ready for the Dachshund derby!
Oktoberfest is set to take over Bayfront Park from Friday Sept. 17th to Sunday Sept. 19th.
Oktoberfest comes from German celebration based on traditional München Oktoberfest. And this event will span the entire weekend at Bayfront.
