Olesiak, Schneider hit milestones in South Ridge win, Proctor advances in sections

Adella Olesiak and Bella Schneider each tallied major career milestones while helping South Ridge volleyball serve up section tournament victory on Wednesday.

The South Ridge Panthers shut out Carlton 3-0 in the second round of the Section 7A playoffs. In the third set, Olesiak would tally her 1,000th career dig, then later Schneider would record her 1,000th career set assist.

The Panthers advance to battle second seeded Floodwood in the quarterfinals Friday at 7pm in Floodwood. For the full 7A bracket, click here.

In more section volleyball playoff action, Proctor downed Two Harbors 3-0 (25-7, 25-9, 25-12) in the first round of Section 7AA. The top-seeded Rails advance to host fourth seeded Pine City in the quarterfinals Friday at 7pm.
