Are you currently looking for a job or a career change? If so, the Postal Service is holding several job fairs in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The job fair will be in Rice Lake on Thursday, January 13th, from 9 am until 3 pm. Next Tuesday, January 18th, the job fair will be in Chippewa Falls from 9 am to 3 pm. Then on Wednesday, January 19th there will be another fair in Menomonie, Wisconsin from 9 am until 3 pm. On Thursday, January 20th there will be a job fair in Eau Claire Wisconsin, from 9 am to 3 pm.

The Postal Service in areas like Superior, Duluth, and others are having a tough time filling positions like mail carrier and mail handler assistant.

“There are a lot of companies, a lot of competition as we know are looking for workers. A lot of them offer sign-on bonuses and things of that nature. One thing that they do not offer is a life-long career, a great future with exponential opportunities after you become a career employee,” says Lisa Wojnarowski, workforce planning specialist with the Wisconsin district of the postal service.

At these job fairs, people will be able to get information on how to apply for available positions.

“By coming to the job fairs, potential candidates will be able to come in and create their profiles, ask questions about the positions, ask questions about a career at the postal service and apply for those jobs.”

In Superior, the Postal Service is looking to fill 20 positions ranging from city carrier assistant (CCA), rural carrier associate (RCA), and assistant rural carrier (ARC). The pay ranges from $18.92 to $19.06 an hour.
