Pre-season polls put UMD basketball with high expectations

The UNiversity of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s basketball team has been tabbed to repeat as Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) champions in the conference preseason poll.

Additionally UMD senior forward Brooke Olson earned the preseason North Division player of the year selection.

The men are picked to finish third this year in the north, with junior guard Drew Blair named a key player to watch out for.
