Prep Boys Hockey: Grand Rapids stays undefeated, Duluth East falls to Bemidji

In prep boys hockey Thursday, Grand Rapids shut out Duluth Marshall to stay undefeated while Duluth East fell to Bemidji at home.
Ten skaters scored as Grand Rapids downed Duluth Marshall 12-0 at Mars Lakeview Arena. The Thunderhawks were led by Easton Young with two goals and three assists and Kaden Nelson adding two goals and two assists.
Now 3-0 Grand Rapids is back in action Saturday hosting Forest Lake for their home opener. Puck drop is set for 3pm at the IRA Civic Center.
Meanwhile Duluth East fell short of their first win falling 4-3 to Bemidji in overtime at the Duluth Heritage Center. Cole Christian scored two goals for the Greyhounds who now sit 0-4 on the season. They’re set to visit Wayzata Saturday at 2:30pm.
