Prep volleyball: Hermantown stays unbeaten, Proctor downs Virginia in straight sets

On Tuesday, Proctor volleyball senior Payton Rodberg was recognized for tallying her 1,000th career kill. A short celebration was held following her first kill of the night against Virginia.

The Rails went on to down the Blue Devils in straight sets winning 25-13, 25-15, and 25-17. Proctor (5-1) is next set to visit Duluth East September 21.

In Hermantown, the undefeated Hawks held off the also unbeaten Greenway Raiders 3-1. Hermantown took set one 25-15, while the Raiders won set two 21-25, then the Hawks took set three 25-19 and four 25-18.

Next Hermantown will host Hibbing Thursday night, while Greenway (7-1) will visit Chisholm Monday.
