Prep volleyball: Hermantown stays unbeaten, Superior extends win streak

In prep volleyball action on Thursday Hermantown held off Hibbing to proctect their unbeaten record, while Superior shutout Duluth Denfeld to extend their win streak.
While Hibbing won the first set 25-16, Hermantown rallied to take the next three 25-19, 25-16, 25-23 and win the night 3-1. The Hawks improve to 6-0.
The Hawks were led by Bailee Hess with 14 kills and Nicole Nelson with 16 digs. Meanwhile the Bluejackets were led by Bailey Broken with nine kills and Bella Scaia with 17 kills.
At Duluth Denfeld, Superior won the border battle 3-0 in straight sets. The Spartans extended their win streak to four straight games while improving to 4-4 on the season.
