The Twelve Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church is hard at work preparing for its 28th annual “Taste of Greece” festival.
At the Marshall School Thursday, they were preparing the thousands of Greek pastries that will be served during the festival as well as the starting the vegetable preparations for the kebabs.
Festival Co-Chair Kate Patronas said she’s excited that the festival will be returning to normal this year after last years “To-Go” festival.
“We’ve been doing this for 28 years. It’s one of our churches favorite events to host every year,” she said. “It’s really exciting being welcomed back into the community again and sharing that fellowship"
The free, two-day, festival showcases Greek culture through its offerings of Greek food, delectable pastries, Greek coffee, folk dancing, and music. Guests are invited to eat in or carry out.
Admission is free, and the event is open to the public. All are invited.
The festival is held Saturday, July 24 (11:00 am – 5:00 pm), and Sunday, July 25 (11:00 am – 5:00 pm), at the Marshall School located at 1215 Rice Lake Road in Duluth.
