Proctor Football coach resigns amidst ongoing investigation into team

The Proctor School Board accepted the resignation of football head coach Derek Parendo from teaching and coaching positions effective at the end of the school year during a board meeting Monday evening.

The district also said Parendo is on a personal leave of absence for the remainder of the school year.

This is amidst an ongoing investigation into alleged misconduct by players on the Proctor football team.

The city of Proctor said they expect the Police Department to wrap up the investigation into the alleged misconduct by the end of the week.
