Baseball is back for the Duluth Huskies as new faces and old players hit the diamond for media day on Sunday. Everything was discussed around the table at the event, from recruits to preparing for the new season and more.
With a new team comes figuring out what the identity will be. Head Coach Marcus Pointer shares what he is looking to see. “Just fast, high level, high pace game. I want guys engaged throughout the game, looking to steal bases, ball in the dirt, first to third, all that stuff. We are looking to take advantage of it and play an aggressive style of baseball."
The Huskies open their season tomorrow on the road as they face Mankato for two games, then back home for their home opener on June 1st against Minnesota. Visit the Duluth Huskies website to see the full schedule.
