A team of sisters are really handy with pine boughs. Originally from Bovey, and now in Babbitt, Theresa Miller and Kat Hughes call it a labor of love.
They’ve made over 40 wreaths, which they delivered to the cemetery in Ely. From there, people take the wreaths and put them on veterans’ graves.
"Each one has a flag in it," Miller shared. "And a ribbon, and then we put them on a tripod stand."
They want to honor our vets, especially during the holidays. "We do this for the love of veteran. They’ve given us so much," Miller said. She’s married to a veteran.
Hughes is engaged to one. "It’s a family thing, too," she said. "Gotta help the big sis."
Another vet donated pine boughs for the cause. This whole effort has been going on for a few years now.
