South Shore receives final remnants of spring system
The system that first brought impacts to the Northland on Tuesday is finally departing. Slick roads continue to be reported in the region.Lake effect chances linger along the South Shore Friday with localized accumulation.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 1 p.m. Friday for Ashland County and Iron County. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Gogebic County and Ontonagon County until 1 p.m. CST Friday.
Snow will gradually taper off west to east along the South Shore through today and tonight with additional accumulation of 1" or greater limited to portions of Bayfield, Ashland, Iron, and Gogebic Counties. As much as an additional 6" is possible locally.
