St. Scholastica Women’s Soccer plays to 2-2 draw against Eau Claire

The College of St. Scholastica Women’s Soccer team played to a 2-2 draw in double overtime against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at home on Sunday afternoon.

The Blugolds struck first in the 18^th minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. The Saints’ Morgan Friday tied the game at 1-1 in the 47th minute, finding the back of a net on a penalty kick.

Eau Claire took a 2-1 lead in the 57th minute, but then two minutes later, Friday scored her second goal of the game to tie it at 2 goals a piece.

The Saints return to action on Wednesday when they hit the road for the first time to face Luther College. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
