State soccer: Duluth East boys finish third, Cloquet-Carlton girls take fourth

The Duluth East boy’s soccer team finished third in the state tournament while the Cloquet-Carlton girl’s finished in fourth place.
On Thursday the Greyhounds shut out Rochester Mayo 3-0 in the Class AAA third place game to finish their season 17-2-1. Kai Hoffman scored two goals in the win.
In the Class AA girl’s soccer third place match Friday, the Lumerbacks fell 6-1 to the Academy of Holy Angels to finish 17-4 on the season. Alexa Snesrud scored the sole goal for Cloquet-Carlton.
