Supporting local businesses through Duluth Studio Market

The Northland is filled with local artists and creators. From sustainable art work, to clothing design, to pottery and more, there are many outlets to support local makers.

That was the idea behind creating Duluth Studio Market – a coalition of local artists and small business owners all selling their work under one Duluth Lakeside roof.

The market’s creation was a pandemic passion project for owner Stacey LaCoursiere, who says the thing that ties these makers together is that they all work for a purpose.

"Everything in the Duluth Studio Market really has a good cause behind it," LaCoursiere said. "We look for local makers here in the Duluth area – as well as some midwest makers, artisan, jewelry makers, artists, watercolor – just really your montage of everything. Anything that’s not local, we look for fair-trade, sustainable, or charitable companies."

Shoppers can visit the Duluth Studio Market in their Lakeside storefront or visit their website to browse their selection.
