The weather is cooling off, which makes it a perfect time to fill up on a hot, home-cooked meal of Swedish meatballs.

Volunteers at Holy Cross Lutheran Church are getting ready to wow you with theirs. "We’ll be making 1,172 meatballs, and 40 dozen pumpkin bars," shared Louane Beyer.

It’s a drive-through style event, due to COVID. "This is the 11th year we’ve been having it. It’s the only fundraiser that the church has that involves the community. People are very inspired to help, we’ve had a good turnout with volunteers," Beyer told us.

She added, "It creates fellowship among the parishioners, and gives them pride, too."

The dinner is Tuesday, the 19th, from 4-6:30pm. You can get tickets ahead of time by calling the church, at 722-0132 or you can just drive right up.
