Sylvia Fowels wins Defensive Player of the Year Award
Sylva fowels was awarded the Defensive Player of the Year Award on Sunday.
She finished the regular season second in the WNBA in rebounds, steals and blocks per game. Which lead her to become the only player in WNBA history to finish in the top two in all three of those categories, in a single season.
The only other player to earn the award more times than her, Indiana forward Tamika Catchings, who after winning the award five times, retired in 2016.
