The City of Duluth commemorated the September 11th attacks today in the AMSOIL Arena.
Saturday morning the City held a ceremony of remembrance which included members of the Duluth police department, fire department, and Mayor Emily Larson.
The ceremony provided the national anthem, prayer, bell ceremony, and personal stories of where they were when they heard the news. The main message of the morning… never forget.
Police Chief Mike Tusken states, “It is certainly a day to remember first responders, but it is also to remember those who died in these tragedies. And all the loved ones they left behind that still morn their lost, and we remember them always."
Chief Tusken also says that both police and fire departments will always be there to serve the community.
