Three former UMD men’s hockey players sign professional contracts

Three former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s hockcey players have signed professional contracts on Monday.
Louie Roehl signed his first professional contract with the East Coast Hockey Leagues Wheeling Nailers.With UMD he played 180 games from 2017-22, and tallied seven goals and 22 assist.
Andy Welinski also signed a one-year, two-way deal with the New York Rangers. The Duluth native has played in 46 NHL games, collecting one goal and five assist.
Nick Swaney has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the home town Minnesota Wild. In 134 games for UMD he registered 46 goals, 55 assists and 101 points.
