Two juvenile males lodged in Arrowhead Juvenile Center

Duluth Police Officers confiscated illegal weapons from two juveniles on Wednesday afternoon. The officers were dispatched to the 800 block of E Upham Road at approximately 1:51 pm for a disturbance call involving two 17-year-old males.

When officers arrived, the reporting party mentioned that both 17-year-old males left and were in possession of handguns. Using the description given by the reporting party, officers located the two juveniles near the intersection of Baylis Street and Wildwood Drive.

Both juveniles were questioned by officers. During a pat-down, officers located a handgun on one juvenile that was reported stolen out of Superior.

The other juvenile was also in possession of a handgun. Additional ammunition was located in a bag, and both guns were loaded.

Both 17-year-olds were lodged in Arrowhead Juvenile Center. One juvenile has pending charges of possession of a stolen firearm, prohibited person in possession of a handgun, and false name. The other has pending charges of prohibited person in possession of a handgun.

No one was injured in this incident.
