Lizi Norton is leaving the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s hockey team for the University of Minnesota.

The defenseman has elected to use her fifth year of eligibility by joining the Gophers as a graduate transfer. In four seasons with the Bulldogs she recorded 32 points with six goals.

Norton is now the fourth skater to transfer out of the UMD program this offseason following goalies Jojo Chobak (sophomore, St. Cloud State) and Holly Gruber (freshman, Clarkson), and forward Kassy Betinol (junior, Colgate).
