Over the weekend the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) football team once again clinched a late win to close out their road stretch 2-0.
On Saturday they downed the University of Mary 31-27 behind back-up quarterback Logan Graetz. Starting for an injured John Larson, Graetz threw for 150 yards and four touchdowns, including a game winning two yard pass to tight end Sam Pitz in the 4th quarter.
"Says a lot about this group, I mean every single game has come down to the last thing. That’s really how you tell how good a team really is," Graetz said. "We just rally around each other and get out of there with a win so it was good for sure."
UMD (5-1) returns home this Saturday to host Concordia University, St. Paul. Kickoff for the homecoming match is set for 12:05pm.
