UMD men’s hockey sits at No. 6 in first USCHO poll

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s hockey team took of the number six spot in the in the USCHO.com poll releseased on Monday.

This is the first poll of the 2021-2022 season.

The Bulldogs are one of five Minnesota teams, and among five teams in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC), to crack the Top 25. St. Cloud State University came in second while the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass) took first place.

UMD will open up exhibition play against number 11 University of Wisconsin-Madison on Sunday. Then they will drop the puck on their regular season October 8 at number 14 Bemidji State University.
