The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) football team has risen in the national ranks.
Following a big season opening 41-14 win at Upper Iowa University last Thursday, they’ve moved up three spots to number 20 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll.
The Bulldogs are one of four Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) teams to crack the rankings. Coming in at third is Minnesota State University, Mankato.
The Mavericks will visit Duluth on Saturday for UMD’s home opener. Kickoff is set for 6:05pm at Malosky Stadium.
