UMD still in search of first win after loss to SMSU

The University of Minnesota Duluth soccer team loss Sunday at home by the final score of 2-1 against Southwest Minnesota State University.

SMSU was able to get on the board quickly, as just 40 seconds in Abbey Hoisington would score.

About 10 minutes later the Mustangs would get a 2-0 lead off the foot of Kristen Wetterstrom.

The lone UMD goal scorer was Emilia McGiffert around the 65 minute mark.

Up next the Dogs have a two game series on the road in Bemidji.
