This weekend the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) volleyball team will rematch two tough opponents for their regular season home finales.
First up will be number 14 Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU), who bested the Bulldogs 3-2 in September. This time around UMD will get home court advantage, however they may be without standout outside hitters, sophomore Cianna Selbitschka and fifth year Kate Berg who are both questionable due to injuries.
"Crossing our fingers," head coach Jim Boos said at practice Wednesday. "I think if it comes down to them having to make a game time decision they’re certainly going to want to be out there, but obviously there’s more to it than that, so we’re crossing our fingers that they’re out there. I think with them out there with what we have going on in other positions, I think we have a chance."
The match Friday against SMSU is set for 6pm, then the Bulldogs close out regular season home play Saturday hosting the University of Sioux Falls at 4pm.
