"There are a lot of people that are brand new to the sport, and it’s a really good time for that too because the equipment has gotten so much better. The ease that people have to get into the sport and find something that fits them and have success is really improved over the last 10 years," John added.
The improvement mentioned of archers success has been evident with the amount of deer the shop has been processing so far this season.
"People normally bring in their animals, their deer, they drop them off whole. We then skin them, quarter them, cut them up, and package them into steaks, chops, and burger. The biggest deer I’ve seen that has come in here was a 237 pound buck shot by a 12-14 year old young man that is one of our archery customers," John added.
Also due in part to the pandemic, the owner added they’ve welcomed the biggest influx of new hunters in quite a while.
