The North End Nightmare 5k was back to full capacity on Saturday, with no difference distance wise, but a ton of spooky surprises throughout the course.
"We have different zones throughout the race course that are supposed to be like running through a haunted house. It’s supposed to be more interactive a little bit more fun," exclaimed Grandma’s Marathon Marketing Director Zach Schneider.
Part of the amusement that comes from this race, is being able to wear all kinds of different costumes while running.
"You get to dress up, be something your not. Plus you still run the race, still be active and get that part of it. We also want this one to be a little bit more fun and halloween based."
Zach Schneider also said that not only the race, but the Halloween decorations, free candy, and the costume contest was able to draw in one of the biggest crowds yet.
"We think people enjoy it we enjoy putting it on as a staff we had more than 600 people show up tonight so we are really happy with the way the event went off. We are happy with the weather, and its a fun event to add to the end to our calander every year now." Schneider went on.
So this event is here to stay for the foreseeable future, because who doesn’t love Halloween?
Zach Schnieder finished by saying,"Halloween is fun no matter what age you are. We got some stuff at the start of the event for the kids, and then something maybe for the older kids, and then the adults. Everyone likes to dress up, they like to have fun."
