Ryder Woodworth, who was an Eau Claire native, was remembered at the beginning of the Sunday’s soccer match between the University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
"I feel really connected to them and I’m just really grateful for a wonderful family to be a part of our team now, said UWS head coach Joe Mooney. "Really forever he will always be a part of our team and we will honor him and miss him."
Woodworth, a Yellowjacket men’s soccer commit, passed away the day before he was set to move on to campus.
Bluegolds score three in the goals before Blake Perry nets UWS’ lone goal.
Yellowjackets fall 3-1.
