Melissa Etheridge and Indigo Girls in lineup for the 2025 Grandstand Series

Melissa Etheridge and Indigo Girls will bring their Yes We Are Tour to the Minnesota State Fair on August 24. According to the State Fair, the Tour will take the Grandstand Stage at 7:00 p.m.

Melissa Etheridge hit the American rock scene in 1988 with the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. Her popularity grew with memorable originals like “Bring Me Some Water,” “No Souvenirs” and “Ain’t It Heavy.” She won a Grammy in 1992 for “Ain’t It Heavy.” Etheridge hit her commercial and artistic stride with her fourth album, “Yes I Am” (1993), featuring the massive hits “I’m the Only One” and “Come to My Window,” which brought Etheridge her second Grammy for Best Female Rock Performance. In 1995, Etheridge issued her highest-charting album “Your Little Secret,” distinguished by the hit single “I Want to Come Over.” Her astounding success led to Songwriter of the Year honors at the ASCAP Pop Awards in 1996.

The Indigo Girls have spanned four decades with 16 studio albums and over 15 million records sold. The Grammy-winning duo of Emily Saliers and Amy Ray began their career in clubs and bars before moving up the alternative music scene and signing to Epic Records in 1988. With powerful singles “Closer to Fine” and “Kid Fears” the duo’s signature harmonies and stirring, sophisticated songs reached a global audience. “Indigo Girls” was the first of six consecutive gold and/or platinum-certified albums.

The Yes We Are Tour will take to the Grandstand on Sunday, August 24 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets are $56 – $89 (all reserved seating); $110 – $123.75 (Party Deck)
