Tech Bytes: Twitter’s Mac App no longer available

In today's Tech Bytes: The Mac app for Twitter is no longer downloadable, Google is expanding it's school time feature, SiriusXM is launching a podcast subscription service.

Twitter for Mac is no longer available. Searches for “Twitter” or “X” return nothing in the Mac App Store, and the URL is now unavailable. Users can still access it via browser, but new downloads are no longer possible. The iPad and iPhone version is still available. “X” has not yet commented.

Next, Google is expanding its “School Time” feature to phones and tablets. Parents will soon be able to limit calls and messages during school hours. The feature will roll out to select Android devices and Samsung Galaxy watches early next year.

Finally, SiriusXM is launching a podcast subscription service. Starting August 5th, “SiriusXM Podcasts Plus” will offer ad-free episodes and bonus content. It will be available in over sixty countries and cost $6 per month or $45 dollars per year.
