Tech Bytes: Youtube testing new community notes feature
In today's Tech Bytes from ABC News: YouTube is testing a new community notes feature, Roku is launching a free 24/7 sports channel, a new wildlife safety feature is announced.
YouTube is possibly rolling out a new “X”-like feature. Reports say a pilot program is asking YouTube users to test a feature that can add notes to clarify misleading or inaccurate videos. The tool is similar to “Community Notes” on X.
Roku is launching a free 24/7 sports channel. The new channel will show live events and original content. Viewers can watch live MLB games, Formula E races, NBA G League games, and more for free on Roku devices and apps. It launches next week.
The city of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, has unveiled a wildlife-safety Instagram filter. The open-source filter lets visitors check if they’re too close to animals by aligning animal outlines with icons in the app. Other wildlife destinations can also customize and use the tool.
