Authorities respond to four car accident on the North Shore
First responders arrived after a four-car collision along the North Shore early Tuesday evening, August 6.
According to the report, a Dodge minivan being driven eastbound, on Highway 61 in Tofte, MN. The driver stopped behind another vehicle making a left turn. Two other vehicles, a Jeep and a Honda stopped behind the Dodge, when a second Dodge minivan – being driven by a Grand Marais woman – rear ended the Honda, which in turn rear-ended the two cars in front of it.
Occupants of the Honda, as well as one in the minivan that rear ended it were transported to Cook County North Shore Hospital for minor injuries. Airbags deployed in both cars.
Authorities say occupants in all four vehicles were wearing seatbelts, and that alcohol was not involved in the collision.
Responding agencies include Cook County North Shore Ambulance, Cook County Sheriff, Tofte FD, Schroeder FD.
