2023 Winter Out West event this weekend

Are you looking for something fun to do this weekend? Head west in Duluth to the 2023 Winter Out West event at Memorial Park and Spirit Valley on Saturday and Sunday. There are a lot of different activities to participate in. Come connect with neighbors and businesses, explore and celebrate Western Duluth.

Saturday events:

• 10 AM – Free movie ‘Happy Feet’ at The West Theater
• Noon – 4:00 PM – Try an Outdoor Activity and enjoy bonfire and S’mores. Try Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, fat tire biking, snow sculpting, broomball, curling, volleyballm bean bag tournament.
• 5 PM – 8 PM – Community open mic at Wussow’s Concert Cafe with songs and stories of the St. Louis River.

At Spirit Mountain’s Grand Avenue entrance, there will be Ice skating, snowshoeing and cross country skiing from noon – 4 PM.

Sunday events:

• 11:30 – noon – Free Children’s Book Reading of ‘Lily Leads the Way’ by Margi Preus at the Zenith Bookstore.
• 12:30 – 1:30 PM – Winter Walk along the Water with the St. Louis River Alliance on the Waabizheshikana Trail. Frere shuttle transportation available between Zenith Bookstore to the Waabizheshikana Trailhead. Free hot chocolate and coffee at 7009 Pulaski St. in Duluth.
