Barnum Township home considered total loss from Tuesday morning fire
On Tuesday morning at 8:08 am, Carlton County 911 received a report of a house fire on the 3800 block of Lone Oak Road in Barnum Township. The caller reported fire fully engulfed the residence.
All occupants of the residence were confirmed safe by law enforcement when they arrived on the scene. The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office, Barnum Fire Department, Mahtowa Fire Department, Blackhoof Fire Department, Moose Lake Fire Department, Carlton Ambulance Service, Minnesota DNR, Red Cross, and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal all responded to the fire.
The residence is considered a total loss after being consumed by fire. No citizens or emergency responders were injured, but a family pet is presumed to have died in the fire.
The fire is not considered suspicious at this time, but the matter remains under review.
